Unprecedented DRUG Crisis:

We have an epidemic in our community, and it's called Fentanyl.  Drug deaths are no longer impacting just people fighting the disease of addiction.  Due to the introduction of fentanyl into our nation's illicit drug supply, young students, some as young as 13, are dying from fentanyl-related poisonings.  98% of the common street pill tested are FAKE, of those, 98% contained fentanyl.  Drug Dealers contact children through social media and money transfer apps.  Unknowingly, teens think they are getting familiar prescription medication such as OxyContin, Percocet, Xanax and Adderall, but drug dealers are making these fake pills with the cheaper, stronger and more deadly synthetic drug called fentanyl.

Fentanyl is odorless, tasteless and colorless; teens never know what they're getting.

The amount of fentanyl it takes to overdose and die is equivalent to two grains of sand.  Fentanyl is up to 50 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine.  Youth deaths from fake pills is not a problem that can be fixed by parents or schools alone; it is a problem communities need to tackle together: parents, students, social media outreach, law enforcement, health care professionals, schools, and more all need to create a safe and healthy environment for our kids.

Arrive Alive California Inc incorporates multiple presentation methods to educate the community of this devastating crisis.  Together with Drug Recognition Experts and Medical Examiners, AAC brings life-saving information via classroom instruction, student assemblies, Town Hall meetings, and parent workshops. We also have train the trainer opportunities to provide educators tools they need to engage, educate and empower.
